Welcome to the Second Life Community Convention 2011 Registration Page!

The Second Life Community Convention (SLCC) brings together members of the Second Life community to network, build friendships and to discuss Second Life in a common forum.  Since its inception, SLCC has been organized by the community for the community.  All of the organizers and volunteers who plan and staff each year’s convention donate their time, expertise, skills and love of Second Life to create a great experience for attendees. The Second Life Community Convention is the largest virtual world convention combining art, business, community events, education, music, non-profit, virtual technology, and great social events.

Registration Name: In order to receive the group discount at the Oakland Marriott City Center, you must use the same name that you use to register for the convention.  In most cases, this means you should use your REAL LIFE name to register for the convention, but be sure to use the same name for both!

Name badges: If you are registering for the convention after August 1, 2011, 12PM PST, you will not have a preprinted name badge. However, we will have blank name badges on site at the registration desk.

Refund Policy

All requests for refunds must be made in writing and emailed to refunds@avacon.org.

Requests for refunds received prior to July 15, 2011 will be processed for the full amount minus a $50 USD processing fee 6 to 8 weeks after the convention.

Requests for refunds received after July 15, 2011 until July 28, 2011 will be processed for 50% of the ticket price 6 to 8 weeks after the convention.

The convention has fixed costs and we are contractually bound to pay certain fees after certain dates. While we appreciate that last minute family and other emergencies do arise, we are unable to to process requests for refunds received after July 28, 2011.
